TNM Super League actionreturns this afternoon after the November international break with the three title contenders FCB Nyasa Bullets, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Silver Strikers hunting for more points.

Leaders Bullets face Salima Sugar Dedza Dynamos away at Dedza Stadium, where they need a win to boost their chances to win a fifth successive league title.

Second-placed Wanderers take on Mighty Waka Waka Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre in a must-win fixture for the Nomads to keep their title hopes alive while Silver must also beat Kamuzu Barracks at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe if they are to remain in the race.

Currently, Bullets lead the 16-team log-table with 56 points from 27 games and they will retain the championship with a game to spare if they win two of their three remaining matches as they are two points ahead of Wanderers and three better than Silver, whose maximum points are 60 and 59, respectively.

This afternoon’s match comes after Bullets recorded three straight draws in the league.

Dynamos, who are ninth on the table with 35 points from 28 games, are also desperate for a win to finish in the top-eight.

Bullets assistant coach Heston Munthali yesterday said: “We are aware of the dangers of dropping points in any of our remaining games. We will do our best to collect maximum points and fend off pressure from fellow title contenders.”

Meanwhile, Nomads coach Mark Harrison has admitted that it will not be easy to outsmart  10th-placed Tigers, who are among the five teams battling relegation.

The Kau-Kau Boys have 34 points from 28 games.
